Desk Shopping
Have you gone to the store with intentions of buying a few things and then when you are at the check out counter you realize you have double the stuff you actually wanted to buy?
That is because the stores spend a lot of money studying you and people like you to figure out your buying habits.
Have you ever been in an isle or maybe the produce section and while you pick out your fruit, "Oh look! there is a smoothie mix". You say to yourself, "yum, I have been wanting a smoothie, a smoothie would be good, I could save so much money if I just bought the mix and made it my self, smoothies in the store are so expensive. If I made my own, I would eat more fruit and vegetables each day."... then that leads to... "Oh, super! There is a deal on the smoothie mixes...'buy 4 and get the 5th free', good deal."
So you pull a few off the display and throw them into the cart. Then as you move along, there is fresh squeezed juice right there. "Oh, that would be good. I heard pomegranate juice is really good for you." You throw that in the basket too.
Then you head around the corner and you look for deodorant, and say your kids with you and right at their eye level they have all the super heroes and Barbi lotions, soaps, tooth brushes, and such, colorfully packaged. Your kids start asking for some. Okay, they beg for them....
You let them each add one to the cart and you keep moseying through the store.
Did you know that the store anticipates you will at least spend, on average, $25-30 more than you intended when you came in. That is $100 - $160 more a month!
I know I have been known not only to buy the impulse items not on my list, but am known to also "upgrade". "Oh, if it is $2.66 for one and it is $5 for two, I may as well just get two," and into the cart that "deal" goes.
Have you noticed that stores hardly advertise the single price of something, anymore - especially on popular items ?
It is always, "$10.99 for 2" or "15.99 for the club pack".
Great isn't it! It gives you a warm fuzzy feeling know you are getting a great deal... or at least you think you are while you are there shopping.
A week later as you are throwing the stale or left over stuff out and blaming your significant other for not eating the fruit you bought or buying the 3rd round of "this is a 'good deal' kind of chips" because the kids have gotten sick of the ones you bought three weeks ago.
Isn't shopping fun!!
Not exactly... I didn't realize how much I was wasting until I switched my house over to shopping from my desk without the influence of advertising, shopping displays, enticing "sale" offers, and without the rush of just getting through the store isles with two "mini" salespeople (my kids) yapping at my side about how much they need and "just love" this new cereal!

Then do the following:
The next time you are planning to go there, write your list of items, call the store from your home on their toll-free number with your list, and ask for a 15%-47% discount on the items you need.
Request that they allow you to fax or email your order from your computer and have them deliver it to your door within an average of 72 hours.
Ask them to develop a complete, comprehensive, digital destination on the Internet available 24 hours a day where you can shop and place orders at your convenience.
Ask them to allow you to set up a monthly electronic shopping list that you can add to and alter as you need, that would automatically be delivered to your door every month, for items you know you need every month.
Ask for a three month, unconditional warranty on all the items, with your choice of cash refund, replacement, or repair, including the cost of shipping. ?? Favorite Brands
Does that business pay you for your brand loyalty?
I know I was once a loyal Pampers buying mom. Nothing else measured up... but I didn't have anything to show for my loyalty. I bought, changed diapers, added to the expanding land fill, and then went back to the big box stores to buy more and do it all over again. Nothing "warm and fuzzy" there!
Learning about business and marketing taught me how addicted I was to the messages businesses and marketing were directing to me. People see a logo, or hear a jingle and they immediately think about your product. The more a business can get a consumer to "think" about the product the better.
Can you think of a product that has a great logo or jingle or copy that is really outstanding in your mind but really doesn't meet your consumer expectations??
If the product does meet your expectations, does that business pay you for being loyal to it?
Is there a product or a business/company out there that will pay you for using their product?
If you are a loyal fan of Pepsi or "have a Coke and a smile?" Does the company reward you for holding that drink out in public, swigging it down, or passing it out at your last party? I doubt it. I haven't come across it yet.
However, I have found that there are businesses that do... it is pretty awesome!
Even your toilet paper business will profit share with you. Every time the toilet flushes you can be reminded of the profit share you are receiving.
I have an acquaintance who is deaf and so is his family(hence, they can't hear the flushing noise)who rigged up a light to the toilet. Every time they flush the light blinks on and off, signaling they earned money! How funny, and great!

Yesterday someone asked me a great question: "What are the name brands you carry?"
Everyone now adays seem to be on a tight budget, especially if you have children. However, we still love certain brands.
I have a friend that nothing compairs with Hellman's mayo, another friend that doesn't like anything but Peter Pan Peanut Butter, and another who will only use one kind of toilet paper (although I can't remember which it is).
We may not have every brand you want/desire/need, but I have to say, I believe the stuff we have is great. I personally purchase a lot of organic food and we carry that too.
While considering the pluses and minuses of shopping on line... there is a point to be remembered... any product ordered from our site has a 3 month (90 day), 100% guarantee.
Meaning if you don't like a product, have problems with a product,or what ever reason you can think of you can send it back with the return shipping slip that comes in your box with your product. There is no risk.
Now if any one is interested in seeing the catalog or the lists of items for him/her self, all you need to do is email me your info and I can set you up with a customer id and password.
The site is password protected, so hence needing your info. However, just because you gave me your info doesn't mean you are committed to anything. It just gives you access to our stores, all 1,100 of them and over a million products.

Helping News: Derek's Fight
Faces of friends I hadn't seen in 15 years. I went to school with Shelly. We graduated in 1992 and Derek was one year ahead of us. I was so pleased to see they married, had two children, and looked happy and healthy. Their children seemed to be the same age as my two children.
I read a few lines of the intro and I was startled and saddened by the news. Derek had ALS and was in the later stages. His best chance of prolonging his life: Go to India and get the embryonic stem-cell treatment not offered here in the United States."
I was shocked to learn of the advanced prognosis of Derek's disease, and dumb-founded that one of the richest, most resourceful counties in the world couldn't help treat Derek and others dealing with advanced ALS and Lyme Disease.
Shelly and Derek asked family, friends, and our community to pitch together to raise money to offer them a chance to save his life.
I don't know what would be more frightening. Dealing with a fatal disease or asking for help. We normally don't think of it that way. Dealing with a deadly disease is a struggle in and of itself. Exposing one's private life, the imperfection, and disease is altogether terrifying.
Derek and Shelly found the courage because of two young children. Not only did they find strength together to battle an unforgiving disease, they found humility, courage, and moved forward. I don't think many people can say they possess the grit, the determination, and the dedication to their children to do the same.
At once my heart went out to them, as did 400+ members of Face Book. Unfortunately, just signing on as a fan to the site and receiving updates isn't enough to get Derek to India.
I talked to Shelly and Derek at the first fundraising event, an Easter Egg Hunt. You couldn't meet two people who are more gracious and humbled from the experience. They told me the response has been amazing and each week seems to be busier than the last.
Unfortunately, the financial pot to get Derek to India isn't building like it could be. Right now the fund hasn't hit 5,000. In less than two months, more than $45,000 is needed.
Derek would like to travel to India in June to receive the two month treatment and be able to return home to see his daughter off to school in the fall.
We need everyone's help. Help us raise the $45,000 by donating and participating in the Family Fun Day being held May 2 at the Dryer Road Park, the Golf Tournament at Ravenwood Golf Club on June 5, Attending the Cottage Hotel, in Mendon on June 6, and purchasing the things you need anyway; your non-perishable groceries, clothing, health and beauty products, etc. through Exceeding Expectations (all proceeds go to Derek's Fight).

Recent Comment: "Why would offer this?"
Well, for me the answer is simple. I know what is is like to be ill, however, I don't know what it is like to be ill and have two small children the same age as my own children.
My worst fear is to be going through an illness that may or may not be fatal, but none the less, one that is all consuming and changes everything about how you live your life and not be able to "be there" for my children.
My heart is filled with empathy and a desire to help. I know that it doesn't matter who you are, there is something you can do to help.
I believe so strongly in my business because I see the possibilities it has for so many people and what it can do to help our environment.
Everyone needs toilet paper, laundry detergent, cleaning products, etc. If you have questions, leave a comment.
I am fortunate because I have a business that can help Derek, if others are willing to work with me.

Yoggie- Berry
1 banana
1 cup of yogurt
1 can of Cranberry Grape Blast
7 oz. of 7UP or water
1 cup of blueberries
1 cup of ice
Raspberry De-lite
1 banana

Exceeding Expectations: Help Derek Fight
I had a great question today on FaceBook. one friend asked, "When is the event?"...
The event is happening RIGHT NOW! From March 31- April 30 all items you purchase through "Exceeding Expectations", the profits (the difference between the whole sale price and the retail price) will go directly to the Derek VanWyk's Fight.
The way I get "paid" by the manufacturers for offering my service to you, is the difference between Whole sale and retail.
This month I am forwarding all my "pay" to Derek.

What Can I Buy?
Recently I have been asked some great questions and I thought I would share them with you...
So what kind of products do are offered?
We offer pretty much everything you can think of... anything found
in the center aisles of a grocery store, plus health and beauty, sports energy
and skin care. (An all in one shopping service to meet the convenience of our culture.)
Is there a way to see if the price is a a "good" price for an item?
The products like laundry detergent, the detergent is concentrated and is labeled to calculate per use so you can see what the price per use is.
I have seen companies gouge customers on a high "shipping and handling" rate. Does this business do this to make up for discounted prices?
Our company actually has a free shipping policy for orders over $75. Any shipping with orders under $75, the shipping and handling rate is based on a weight chart you can confirm before purchasing.
What is really great is that each product is shipped with a prepaid returned shipping label back to the business. So, if you do not like or want the product for any reason you can ship it back at no extra cost or hassle to you.
Plus, manufacturers concentrate products to keep costs low, packaging small and recyclable.

When I go to the store there are so many things my kids want to try, so many samples of things sitting out, so many tempting things and food that I and my family really don't need. Business News: Did you know that the average person spends 4-8 hours a week shopping?
In our culture, we cut coupons, wait for the best sale, pride our selves on our shopping "savings", we drive in bad weather/driving conditions, we spend time"re-inventing the wheel" doing the same shopping each week for the essentials, we shop when we don't feel well or when our kids are sick, we lug and fill our carts with bulky and often heavy items that strain our backs and use too much space in the cart/car, we chase down and deal with grumpy, demanding kids, we have to fight the crowds of shopping on the weekend when everyone else is out shopping.... we do all these things and more to face the hassle of shopping all in the name of getting the best deal. In the end, we fill the store owner's pocket with profits from our purchases.
This should be the business news on the evening TV!
Our culture is based on abundance. We have taken our "cheap deals" for granted and we have not only become wasteful and excessive but also are consuming too much, our resources can't keep up.
Have you ever purchased an item you don't like or need and couldn't return it because you tried it and it didn't work or it wasn't what you liked, so you were stuck with it?
Do you really know what a "quality" product is?
Are you tired of being "Sold" with advertising and misrepresented information?

Who:
I am a busy mom of two and have several businesses on line.. I have many interests and my passion is to help and serve others while creating multiple streams of income for my family.
Lately, I have found it really tough to carve out the time to shop. I hate taking sick or over-active kids to the grocery store; I am either stressing about the germs they will pick up, or wiping everything down like a crazy lady for fear about the next thing they will touch. (If I was the lady who held you up at the door, while I am disinfecting the cart, I apologize!)
Any way, I came across this business opportunity to save time and money and... well, you guessed it, My latest business news....
Manufactures want to work with me: Businesses are reacting to the call of their customers. They are minimizing or all together, eliminating the middle men, and is educating the consumer verses "selling".
My new business creates well-informed, satisfied, and loyal customers. The one-on-one relationship benefits everyone involved.
Why:
The latest business news report manufacturers then, don't have to pay for traditional: "pay and pray" advertising, distribution, and the expense of running brick and mortar stores.
I don't like reinventing the wheel when I don't have to. Every time I go into a store and have to buy the same products my family uses every day, like toilet paper and laundry detergent, I cringe.
It is like having to clean the toilet bowl or vacuum the floor again. I hear my not so "Polly-Anna" voice say, "I just did that!"
This business, may not be perfect. As of yet, there isn't a way for you to make money for scrubbing your shower tile, however, at least, it minimizes the shopping part of managing a home.
I put my order in an automated ditto invoice and I don't have to look at it again or think about it, if I don't want to. The items I would be buying "anyway" (tissues, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.) are dropped at my door each month or every other month, when ever I choose!
